AAU CLUB BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Club Beach Volleyball is a format of dual match competition where all the athletes, coaches and trainers
represent a single AAU club. It is composed of five or three (two-player) teams representing a single
team.

Club Affiliation: An AAU Club must register in the district where the club is based. Athletes must register
for an AAU membership in the district where they reside. A club may be composed of athletes from the
districts within a specified region. A club must consist entirely of athletes who reside within the region.
Exception: A club may have up to two (2) athletes from an adjacent region on a team roster with a
submitted waiver.

Athletes can only represent one AAU club per season (September- August). AAU Code Book rules apply
for club withdrawals or transfers within a season. Unattached athletes are not permitted to compete in
club beach volleyball competitions.

Note: Standard AAU pairs competitions will permit unattached athletes, or a team made up of athletes
from two different clubs.
